Disaster Relief for Earthquake Victims

Panah Children Charity • 1 January 2018

Rescue efforts are underway after a powerful earthquake struck at 21:18 local time on 12th November 2017, killing at least 400 people, injuring more than 6,700 and leaving 70,000 homeless. Most of those who died were in the town of Sarpol-e-Zahab in Kermanshah and other parts of the province.

Panah Children Charity has set up a Disaster Emergency Fund Raising Appeal to help those children who are affected by this earthquake. Priority for the urgent needs would be assessed locally in coordination with the international organisations and other relief agencies. All donations for this appeal will be spent on the earthquake victims only and disseminated directly by our own team members.

So far, 12 tents along with other non-cash donations have been sent to Kermanshah for accommodating people.
